We would like to thank all those who supported our joint field day with Meriden Limousin yesterday Thursday, June 30, and especially those who contributed to making the day possible. The field day, held at Merriwa Showground, was a huge success attended by around 200 people who enjoyed some steaks and cakes whilst viewing the bulls and females present.

Roger Evans, an Australian Registered Cattle Breeders Assocation accredited technician came from Tamworth to measure the bulls fat depth, eye muscle area and predicted intramuscular fat percentage on the day. Sarah Strachan from the MLA spoke about MSA grading and beef eating quality and Brendan Coonan from Northern Artifical Breeders imparted his expertise on semen quality and artificial insemination.
